✨ You are the most important member of your healthcare team.
Most people don’t know that. Or they know it — and then walk into a doctor’s office and forget it entirely.
Health Keepers United exists for the moment you decide to change that.
Make the most of your medical minutes by building skills to communicate and participate in problem solving in your health decisions.

Why Health Keepers United?
After years working inside traditional medicine, I saw the same scene play out thousands of times.
A patient comes in with real concerns. The appointment is 12 minutes. They leave with a prescription and a printout — and no real sense of what just happened or what to do next. Not because their doctor didn’t care. Because the system wasn’t built for depth.
That gap — between what patients need and what the system delivers — is not the patient’s fault. But closing it is within their power.
When you know how to prepare, how to ask, how to listen, and how to push back when something doesn’t sit right — everything changes. You leave appointments with more clarity. You make better decisions. You stop being a passenger in your own healthcare.
Empowered patients + Compassionate providers = Healthcare that works.
That's what we're building here.

👥 Who This Is For
You’ll feel at home here if you’re:
— Navigating a chronic condition and tired of feeling like a case number
— Advocating for a parent, partner, or child in a system that moves too fast
— Curious about integrative and functional approaches — and how to talk to your doctor about them
— Done being passive in your healthcare and ready to learn what active looks like
— Open to the idea that your body, mind, and life circumstances are all part of the picture
About Patti
I’ve been on both sides of the exam table.
For over a decade I worked as a Physician Assistant — pediatrics, family medicine, integrative practice. I was good at the clinical work. I was less good at pretending the system was working for patients the way it was supposed to.
I watched people leave appointments confused. I watched them not ask the questions they came in with, because the appointment moved too fast and something about the room made them shrink. I watched diagnoses become cages — labels that told people what they couldn’t do instead of frameworks for figuring out what they could.
In 2020 I became a Certified Functional Health Coach. Not to replace what I’d done in medicine — but to do what medicine rarely had time for. To sit with someone long enough to understand what was actually going on. To help them show up to their own care as a full participant, not a passive recipient.
My background is unusual — Natural Childbirth Educator, bodyworker, clinical hypnotherapist, research chemist, PA. What connects all of it is the same interest: how people understand themselves, and what happens when they stop waiting for someone else to do that for them.
Health keeping is a practice, not a performance.
When I’m not writing or coaching, I’m probably at Disneyland with my family — which turns out to be excellent training for staying calm and curious inside systems that don’t always make sense.
My Happiest Place is with my family at Disneyland!
